Kisawa has 14 spacious bungalows, grouped into eight detached residences. Each residence is set on its own spacious plot and offers complete privacy. The accommodations feature one to three bedrooms, spacious living areas, private infinity pools, outdoor showers, and expansive terraces. Natural materials, handcrafted details, and individual design create a calm, elegant living experience.
The cuisine at Kisawa Sanctuary celebrates Africa's diversity with fresh, modern interpretations of regional cuisine. Three restaurants—The Main Terrace, Cove Mussassa, and Baracca—as well as the informal Pizza Tuk Tuk focus on high-quality ingredients from the region, many of which are sourced from local fishermen and farmers. Cooking is open, minimalist, and respectful of the product. Here, enjoyment is understood as part of the cultural experience.
The Natural Wellness Center offers holistic treatments focusing on Ayurveda, meditation, yoga, energy and sound therapies, as well as modern fitness and regeneration concepts. The offering is complemented by a 25-meter lap pool, a private yoga deck, and an extensive activity program. Diving, snorkeling, nature exploration, and scientifically guided marine experiences provide deep insights into the extraordinary biodiversity of the Bazaruto Archipelago. Kisawa Sanctuary spans 300 hectares of protected landscape and embodies a new understanding of luxury that focuses on nature, culture, and responsibility. With just a few generously spaced residences spread across five kilometers of coastline, the resort offers the ultimate in space and seclusion. The complex was designed to blend into its surroundings rather than dominate them – with a minimal ecological footprint and maximum impact on the experience of nature. The architecture was designed by Studio NJF and realized in close collaboration with local craftsmen. Traditional techniques such as weaving, braiding, thatching, and woodworking characterize the design, as do modern forms and clean lines.
