Skagerrak and Kattegat are known for their fiery temperament—and their ice-cold nature. The two sea areas meet at Denmark's northernmost point, the sandy headland of Grenen. If you want, you can stand with one foot in the Baltic Sea and one in the North Sea, completely relaxed, and enjoy the soothing salty breeze. Air, sand, and sea – that's Jutland! But the wonderful buildings also play their part, for example the tower of St. Laurentius Church, which stands proudly out of the sand and invites visitors to come and see it. The builder of Råbjerg Mile is nature itself: the largest dune in Northern Europe consists of an estimated 3.5 million cubic meters of fine sand and moves up to 20 meters from its spot every year.
