The Koenigshof is the ideal starting point for experiencing Munich in a concentrated way: the old town, Marienplatz, Frauenkirche, Viktualienmarkt, opera, and Residenz are all within walking distance; on request, we can organize guided tours, museum tickets, or culinary discoveries. Those who want to venture further afield can easily reach destinations such as the English Garden, Nymphenburg Palace, or Lake Starnberg with a private transfer. In the hotel itself, the private spa with its exclusively bookable pool, sauna, sensory shower, and spa lounge invites you to retreat, while the modern fitness area with yoga studio offers space for daily training. This allows you to end a day of art, culture, and shopping with a very personal "Stachus Serenity" moment above the rooftops of the city.

Living
Living

The 106 rooms and suites at the Koenigshof are designed as urban retreats – quiet, light-filled, and with views stretching from Stachus to Munich's historic skyline. Floor-to-ceiling windows, elegant parquet flooring, custom-made furniture, and a subtle color palette of sand, champagne, and smoke tones create an atmosphere of understated luxury. Modern details such as Byredo toiletries, Dyson hair dryers, Nespresso machines, and an included minibar underscore the residential character. In the spacious suites, the hotel room becomes a salon with a view – ideal for longer stays or a weekend in the city.

On the ninth floor, GRETA OTO Munich becomes the stage for one of the city's most exciting culinary combinations: Latin American dishes with distinct Amazonian influences, ideal for sharing, accompanied by signature cocktails and a lively, almost club-like setting in the evenings. The Gold on the third floor is a bar and lounge with a terrace overlooking Karlsplatz – the place for perfectly mixed drinks, a fine selection of caviar and oysters, and the Koenigshof Bellini. The Green reinterprets Munich's coffee house culture: light snacks, regional herbal teas, patisserie, and the Koenigshof Torte, a modern homage to the classic Prinzregententorte. Breakfast is served as a high-quality international buffet with a strong focus on regional products, set against the backdrop of the city's rooftops.

Details of the Koenigshof, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Munich

Where Munich's high society once stayed, a newly interpreted classic now welcomes its guests: the Koenigshof, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Munich, directly on Karlsplatz/Stachus. The new building by Nieto Sobejano Arquitectos opens onto the square with a striking vertical "joint" – an architectural statement made of glass, stone, and metal. Behind the façade, a 20-meter-high atrium draws light deep into the interior while cushioning the sounds of the city. Light woods, soft fabrics, brass details, and a carefully curated art collection create an atmosphere of big-city energy and understated elegance. In the 106 rooms and suites – many with views of Stachus or the Palace of Justice – floor-to-ceiling windows, fine materials, Byredo amenities, Dyson hairdryers, and a minibar create a feeling of urban residence living.
