The slopes couldn't be any closer: the spacious ski room leads directly to the Les 3 Vallées ski area, the largest ski resort in Europe. High-quality skis and all accessories can be purchased or rented in the hotel's own boutique. Adrenaline-fueled activities such as dog sledding, snowmobile tours, or paragliding are available, which the concierge will be happy to arrange for you. After so much action, the spa promises wonderful relaxation: from the luxurious heated indoor pool, you can overlook the slopes or relax your muscles in the bubbling jacuzzi, steam bath, or sauna.

All 25 rooms and suites are unique and furnished with a contrasting mix of contemporary and rustic Alpine elements. Plush faux fur and slate gray tones complement the rustic wooden floors and ceiling beams, while the ultra-modern bathrooms boast shiny surfaces and atmospheric lighting. A rare find in Courchevel is the unobstructed view of nature, which you can fully enjoy from your private balcony or terrace. The detached Chalet Timeless offers additional privacy as well as a large fireplace, an open kitchen, and cozy living and sleeping areas.

In addition to the magnificent views, the exquisite dishes prepared by chef Thomas Prod'homme are among the highlights of the hotel. In the Michelin-starred restaurant Baumanière 1850, you can enjoy unique Mediterranean-Alpine specialties and an excellent selection of cheeses in the evening, while The Corner serves relaxed breakfasts and lunches. With its warm, cozy atmosphere, the Strato Bar is the perfect place to enjoy afternoon tea or a good glass of wine accompanied by atmospheric live music.

Details of Le Strato

As a member of Small Luxury Hotels of the World, intimacy and supreme comfort are paramount at Hotel Le Strato. With just 25 rooms and suites and a detached chalet, the hotel guarantees personalized service and a family atmosphere; its privileged location in France's exclusive ski resort of Courchevel clearly answers the question of luxury. Le Strato owes its name to the revolutionary ski model of the same name, developed in 1965 by Laurent Boix-Vives, then president of the iconic ski manufacturer Rossignol. Boix-Vives' family opened the hotel as a retreat for an unforgettable experience in the heart of the three valleys that form Europe's largest ski area. With breathtaking natural views and direct access to powder-white slopes at an altitude of 1,850 meters—Courchevel's highest point—winter sports enthusiasts couldn't ask for a better ski-in, ski-out hotel.
