Another great experience is helicopter fishing, where you fly to remote lakes and rivers to fish for salmon and trout. The helicopters can also be booked for aerial adventure tours, giving you unprecedented access to ancient glaciers, huge waterfalls, untouched forests, and crystal-clear mountain lakes.
With only nine cabins, the resort guarantees all guests an idyllic and peaceful experience of the surrounding wilderness. You can choose between two categories – the red-roofed Intertidal Cabins, which are located directly on the water, and the green-roofed Forest Cabins. The Intertidal Cabins stand on stilts above the sound, allowing you to witness the changing tides and hear the gentle sound of the waves. The Forest Cabins are surrounded by dense greenery and are located near a babbling brook. All cabins comfortably accommodate a small family with two bedrooms, a bathroom, and a living area. From your cozy terrace, you can enjoy the natural spectacle up close.
The chef sources most ingredients directly from British Columbia – seafood such as wild Pacific salmon, albacore tuna, and Dungeness crab are particularly fresh. The beef comes from pasture-raised cattle on local farms, and many of the plants, such as flowers, berries, leaves, and roots, are harvested in the region. Meals are enjoyed in a convivial atmosphere, and depending on the weather, you can dine indoors or outside on the terrace. Some evenings a tasting menu is served, other times a decadent menu, often with a large crab as the main course.
