Rosewood Vienna

Vienna
from $595

Surrounded by the treasures of Viennese Rococo and Art Nouveau, Rosewood Vienna is located on one of the city's most magnificent shopping streets. The hotel's 99 rooms are housed in a beautifully renovated 19th-century building in the heart of Vienna and exude not only upscale comfort but also a loving sense of the destination. This luxury hotel could not be located in any other city: a chic rooftop bar mixes cocktails made from Austrian spirits, the restaurant serves classics such as Wiener Schnitzel and Tafelspitz, the elegant spa uses high-quality products from Augustinus Bader, and the fitness room is surrounded by high stucco walls.

First and foremost, this luxury hotel impresses with its central location in Vienna's inner city, making it a first-class destination for city breaks. The beautiful St. Peter's Church is right on the doorstep, and the famous St. Stephen's Cathedral with its colorful roof is only a short walk away. The surrounding streets offer upscale shopping in various luxury boutiques and many options for taking a short break with a Viennese melange and a slice of Sacher torte. The hotel's facilities include a 24-hour fitness center surrounded by stucco walls and the elegant Asaya Spa, the first Rosewood spa in Europe. Spread over two floors, it offers four treatment rooms and a private social suite, a relaxation area with views of St. Peter's Church, a sauna, a steam room, and an experience shower.

The 71 rooms and 28 suites exude warmth and understated elegance with their muted color palette of burnt orange, dark walnut, gold details, and neutral gray tones. All bathrooms are equipped with freestanding bathtubs and separate marble showers with Maison Caulières toiletries. The windows offer generous views of the neighborhood—some rooms even boast fantastic views of the Hofburg Palace. Special highlights include playful artwork in every room and the spacious bar area with a cocktail cart, spirits, and pre-mixed cocktails, which you can enjoy while relaxing in the comfortably upholstered armchairs.

As a master of "destination dining," the Rosewood brand has once again managed to meet its own high standards with its Brasserie Neue Hoheit. From a hearty breakfast featuring traditional baked goods, Bircher muesli, and local sausage and cheese products to a dinner that delves deep into Austrian traditions, no wish remains unfulfilled. Upscale snacks such as lobster rolls and trout rillette complement classics such as boiled beef and giant Wiener schnitzel, followed by strudel and sinful cherry and chocolate creations for dessert. The rooftop bar of the same name delights with innovative cocktails made with spirits from various Austrian regions—be sure to try the "Golden Roof" with a fruit brandy from Tyrol or the classic "Vienna Calling."

Details of Rosewood Vienna

Rosewood is not yet a well-known brand in Austria, but as the first Rosewood branch in Central Europe, this luxury hotel in Vienna has quickly become one of the city's top addresses. The group has a knack for acquiring listed buildings, and this is no exception: Rosewood has made itself at home in a 19th-century building that was once the headquarters of a popular bank in the heart of Vienna's inner city. This building even housed the apartment where Mozart lived when he wrote "Il Seraglio." Elegantly modernized and interwoven with four other buildings, the Rosewood Vienna is now discreetly and stylishly embedded in the streetscape. Imposing from the outside, it strikes the right note of contemporary coolness on the inside, offering its guests a welcoming home. Designer Alexander Waterworth is responsible for the interior design of the 99 rooms and suites, while Parisian studio Atelier27 selected the distinctive artwork for the walls. Rosewood's signature flair for its destinations is evident in thoughtful details such as Viennese sweets, black-and-white postcards of Vienna, and coffee table books about local painter Gustav Klimt.
