Surrounded by the treasures of Viennese Rococo and Art Nouveau, Rosewood Vienna is located on one of the city's most magnificent shopping streets. The hotel's 99 rooms are housed in a beautifully renovated 19th-century building in the heart of Vienna and exude not only upscale comfort but also a loving sense of the destination. This luxury hotel could not be located in any other city: a chic rooftop bar mixes cocktails made from Austrian spirits, the restaurant serves classics such as Wiener Schnitzel and Tafelspitz, the elegant spa uses high-quality products from Augustinus Bader, and the fitness room is surrounded by high stucco walls.
Rosewood is not yet a well-known brand in Austria, but as the first Rosewood branch in Central Europe, this luxury hotel in Vienna has quickly become one of the city's top addresses. The group has a knack for acquiring listed buildings, and this is no exception: Rosewood has made itself at home in a 19th-century building that was once the headquarters of a popular bank in the heart of Vienna's inner city. This building even housed the apartment where Mozart lived when he wrote "Il Seraglio." Elegantly modernized and interwoven with four other buildings, the Rosewood Vienna is now discreetly and stylishly embedded in the streetscape. Imposing from the outside, it strikes the right note of contemporary coolness on the inside, offering its guests a welcoming home. Designer Alexander Waterworth is responsible for the interior design of the 99 rooms and suites, while Parisian studio Atelier27 selected the distinctive artwork for the walls. Rosewood's signature flair for its destinations is evident in thoughtful details such as Viennese sweets, black-and-white postcards of Vienna, and coffee table books about local painter Gustav Klimt.
