The Scots Hotel

Tiberias
from $390

The Scots Hotel skillfully combines the charm of historic walls with ultra-modern living comfort. The hotel, which once served as a hospital, was opened by the Church of Scotland in 2004, breathing new life into the historic 19th-century basalt building. Even during the planning stage, great importance was attached to preserving the original character of the complex by creating a synergy between old and new. Enjoy the comfort of a 5-star hotel in a stylish ambience. Some of the tastefully furnished rooms offer a magnificent view of the lake.

The Scots Hotel offers a selection of rooms to suit your taste: if you would like to experience the history of the region in your private quarters, you can choose one of the 16 Antique Rooms. Here, luxury meets the spirit of the 19th century. Some of the guest rooms are located in the building that once served as the home of pioneer Dr. David Watt Torrance, while the remaining rooms are located in the former nursing school. High ceilings, tranquility, spaciousness, and basalt walls are common to all of them. The Deluxe and Unique Rooms are located in the modern part of the building. They are furnished in Scottish style and offer all the amenities of modern facilities.

The restaurant's chef regularly revises the menu, always creating new delights with little surprises. Finally, the Ceilidh Bar offers a treat for every lover of good whiskey: here you will find around 80 varieties of this aromatic drink, often accompanied by live music, workshops, and lots of information about whiskey.
