A short domestic flight will take you to Punta Arenas. Visit the largest and southernmost city in Chilean Patagonia: Punta Arenas. Here you can take an extensive city tour along the historic harbor to the interesting cemetery and the open-air ship museum. Punta Arenas is located on the Strait of Magellan and has therefore often served as a base for expeditions to Antarctica or the South American wilderness. In Plaza Muñoz Gamero, you will find a monument to the navigator Ferdinand Magellan; a replica of one of his galleons is on display in the Museo Nao Victoria.

Today, you will fly to the southern Pacific coast of Chile. Your accommodation is surrounded by beautiful vineyards, belongs to the Matetic Winery, and offers a magnificent view of the idyllic Rosario Valley. Visit the wine cellars and learn more about the individual steps involved in the careful production of wine. On your trip to Valle de la Luna, the Moon Valley, you will experience a picturesque sunset with incredible colors. Your vantage point is a sand dune that guarantees you an unobstructed view in all directions. This panorama is simply perfect! Another special moment awaits you at Salar de Atacama, Chile's largest salt lake. Before that, you will pass through the village of Toconao, which is known for its llama and alpaca wool production and volcanic rock. At Laguna Chaxa in Los Flamencos Nature Reserve, you will see numerous beautiful flamingos!

At an altitude of 3,200 meters, you will enjoy a traditional lunch in Socaire and then visit a wonderful lagoon. Indescribable nature awaits you! At the Tatio geysers at an altitude of 4320 meters, you will experience a magnificent sunrise. The geysers are most active at dawn due to the enormous temperature changes. On the way back, you will make a short stop in the small, idyllic shepherd village of Machuca. Visit the town's observatory and see the sky like you've never seen it before!

Now the route takes you back to the capital, Santiago de Chile. Spend your time here however you wish.
