Today we continue south into the Kalahari Desert. It stretches across Namibia, Botswana, and South Africa and is characterized by red sand dunes about 15 to 30 meters high. The red dunes contrast with the blue sky and the yellow grass of the wide valleys. In this area, you will mainly find gemsboks and springboks, but also antelopes, ostriches, and bat-eared foxes. In the evening, you will have the opportunity to watch the sunset over the desert in an open off-road vehicle. A very special experience.

The next morning, set off on a hike with the indigenous San people of the Kalahari. Here you will learn a lot about life in this rugged landscape and gain a truly authentic insight. At midday, you will drive out of the Kalahari Desert to your next lodge in Fish River Canyon.

The Fish River Canyon is one of Namibia's greatest natural wonders. Although significantly smaller than the Grand Canyon in America, it is still the second largest in the world! The canyon is about 160 km long and up to 550 m deep. The location of your lodge offers you numerous opportunities to explore the canyon region and learn more about its formation from your guides. In the evening, we would like to take you to a private dinner under the starry sky in a more than unique setting.

Today, we head back north to the Namib Desert. Your lodge is located in the middle of this surreal world, offering you unique views. Simply enjoy the rest of the day taking in the view. The changing light transforms the desert in no time at all, immersing you in a completely different atmosphere. Make the most of two full days here to take advantage of all the lodge has to offer and explore the surrounding area at your leisure.

The Dead Vlei, which you can discover on a trip to the desert, provides a striking contrast to the high dunes. Dead Vlei is a salt pan surrounded by desert dunes, which stands out spectacularly from the red sand with its light color and looks like a magical place with its black trees. You should also take a trip to Big Daddy, which at 350 meters is the highest dune in the world.

However, our tip for you is the early morning balloon safari: the balloon safari starts with the slow sunrise and you can experience the different colored facets of the desert up close. You are surrounded by the morning silence over the endless expanses of the desert and can enjoy Namibia's nature to the fullest. After about an hour of flight time, you will enjoy a perfect champagne breakfast at the landing site.

Today, you will continue on to Swakopmund on Namibia's Atlantic coast. Explore this historic town on a city tour and discover the numerous historic buildings that bear the mark of the German colonial era. The German language can also be heard in many places.

You have the option of choosing between two different excursions offered by the hotel as part of the program. On the one hand, you can take a boat trip to see seals and dolphins. A catamaran will take you through the harbor to Pelican Port. On your trip through the lagoons, dolphins and seals will swim curiously alongside the boat and you will have the opportunity to observe low-flying pelicans and other seabirds. During the trip, you will be served small snacks, fresh oysters, and chilled sparkling wine.

Alternatively, you can take part in a tour to the lagoons of Walvis Bay, as well as the salt pans, the Kuiseb riverbed, and Sandwich Harbor. Numerous stops along the way offer you the opportunity to take great photos or climb one of the many dunes. Lunch, featuring fresh oysters, snacks, and sparkling wine, is served in style either in the dunes or on the beach.

Today, you will head back inland and arrive at the Okonjima Nature Reserve. The region is known for its extensive species conservation, especially with regard to wild cats. Here, you will have the opportunity to experience many cheetahs and other wild cats up close on safari drives and learn more about these graceful animals.

Enjoy your last activities in the morning before setting off for Windhoek. After a short drive, you will reach the capital, where you will arrive at your former farm. Your final accommodation is located just outside the city and will provide you with perfect care before you return home the next day.
