In Ban Baw, enjoy a guided tour of a traditional weaving village and take the opportunity to taste Laotian whiskey. Afterwards, you will travel to the Pak Ou Caves. The Pak Ou Caves are two sacred limestone caves overlooking the Mekong River, which have been used as temples since 1547. Even today, they are still considered one of the most important pilgrimage sites in the country.
The journey ends in Luang Prabang, where you will be transferred to your hotel, the Rosewood, Luang Prabang. Luang Prabang is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and, as such, has a wealth of special places to offer. Begin your tour at the former Royal Palace, which now serves as the National Museum. Take a short walk to the neighboring Wat Mai, a Buddhist temple whose gold-covered bas-relief is an incredible piece of craftsmanship. Continue through the city center to the dazzling golden Wat Sensoukarahm. The last visit is to Wat Xieng Thong, one of the oldest and most revered temples in the country.
