On the upper floor of the original building, you will find the fantastic spa area with a 20-meter indoor pool, vitality pool, sauna, steam bath, and comfortable lounge chairs. The distinctive Auriga Spa offers soothing treatments and rituals – we highly recommend the indigenous "Connect to Country" treatment, which uses heated stones from distant regions of Australia. Tailor-made routes through the city with individual cultural programs are offered by the local Capella Culturists, who are experts on the region and will be happy to put together personalized experiences for you.

Ranging in size from 46 square meters to the spacious 235-square-meter Capella Suite, the hotel's 192 retreats set new standards for luxury accommodation in Sydney. Muted colors create a tranquil ambience, enhanced by high-quality fittings and refined details such as Murano glass, vintage cocktail sets, and handcrafted ceramics. The loft-style Liberty Suite offers an exceptionally airy living experience—surrounded by state-of-the-art comforts, you can let your gaze wander to the famous Sydney Harbour Bridge.

Designed by Brent Savage and Nick Hildebrandt of the renowned Bentley Group, Brasserie 1930 is a destination for foodies and aesthetes alike. The menu has a French influence but makes use of mostly regional ingredients. Hand-picked wines complement every meal perfectly. In the Aperture lobby lounge, you can enjoy Australian tea and pastries surrounded by a lush indoor garden, while the McRae Bar invites you to enjoy fine aperitifs and nightcaps in a magnificent Victorian atmosphere.

Details of Capella Sydney

After nearly a decade of careful restoration and renovation, Sydney's 1915 Ministry of Education building has reopened as Capella Sydney. Located in a historic neighborhood just steps from Circular Quay and the iconic Opera House, the luxury hotel places great emphasis on sharing stories from the city's past, without neglecting the brand's Asian roots. The first Capella outside Asia, the exterior boasts the classic look of a Florentine Baroque palace, while inside, marble, mirrors, polished walnut, modern art installations, and huge chandeliers underscore the luxury.
