The charming concrete and wood spa is a peaceful place for massages targeting different healing areas or body parts. Personalized massages for expectant mothers and children as well as Shiatsu are also offered. Afterwards, you can spend a few quiet moments in the cork-lined sauna or the copper lantern-lit hammam. Outside, the untamed wilderness is waiting to be explored—perhaps by bicycle or mountain bike, quad bike, or on horseback. Alternatively, book a hot air balloon ride, take a yoga class, actively help care for the farm animals, or get crafty with a pottery or woodcarving class.
The 38 cottages are divided into four groups and range from romantic studios to spacious private houses with two bedrooms. All accommodations are equipped with a cozy kitchen or kitchenette with coffee and tea maker, refrigerator, dishwasher, oven, and stove. A desk, sitting area, and spacious outdoor terraces with tables and chairs for enjoying nature are also included. Pets are welcome. Some accommodations have direct access to a communal swimming pool.
In keeping with the concept of authenticity and simplicity, meals at the Farmhouse are prepared using local products, with around 70 percent of the ingredients coming from the farm itself. Thanks to a menu that changes daily, you can look forward to plenty of variety. The dishes are created by chef Alexandre Silva, who has even been awarded a Michelin star in the past. In addition to the crispy pizza from the wood-fired oven, the octopus with sweet potato purée and the Iberian pork cheeks are also highly recommended. The bar serves fine Portuguese wines (port!), homemade beers, medronho, and other local spirits.
