At Mugie Conservancy, a private nature reserve in Laikipia, Governors' Mugie House welcomes you with individual stone houses on a hill, each offering sweeping views of the Laikipia highlands or lush gardens. An infinity pool promises refreshment, while numerous wild animals visit the waterhole right in front of the complex. A spa room and a 9-hole golf course are also at your disposal, but the game drives, where you can see zebras, elephants, and big cats, are the real highlight. With a little luck, you may even encounter the trusting orphan giraffe Tala, who was raised in the nature reserve.
Governors' Mugie House welcomes you to a spectacular location in the heart of Mugie Conservancy, a private game reserve in the far north of Laikipia. The area covers around 20,000 hectares and, with its lush bushland, exceptional acacia savannahs, plateaus, and olive forests, is home to numerous big cats, buffalo, elephants, zebras, and reticulated giraffes. Cool, individually designed stone cottages accommodate up to 18 guests and, thanks to their hilltop location, offer fantastic views of the landscape and colorful gardens. The interior design combines striking colors and patterns with solid wood furniture, four-poster beds, freestanding bathtubs, and floor-to-ceiling windows to create a harmonious home away from home.
