The picturesque Little Kulala Camp is located in the 27,000-hectare Kulala Wilderness Reserve, an untouched wilderness in the Namib, nicknamed the "living desert." You can't get any closer to the famous dunes of Sossusvlei and the ghostly panoramas of Dead Vlei. The recently renovated and entirely solar-powered camp entices with its adventures, its landscapes, its tranquility. The eleven air-conditioned suites—each with its own plunge pool—pay homage to the local geology, reflecting the gray and pink limestone of the surrounding area in color and texture.
Eleven magnificent suites have been built on raised terraces. Low-pitched thatched roofs, canvas walls, air conditioning, private plunge pools, and en-suite bathrooms equipped with their own open-air showers allow you to be surrounded by nature at all times. The suites' private terraces are protected by a spacious thatched roof. You can even sleep on the flat clay roof of the bathroom and experience the twinkling of the stars at night. The side walls of the main lodge can be opened to give you a direct view of the desert. An outdoor covered dining room and a bar with wine cellar, library, souvenir shop, and pool in the main building round off the feel-good experience.
