Today, your rental car will be waiting for you, which you will use to explore the country over the next few days. Drive towards Alentejo, where we recommend a stopover in Évora. Évora is the capital of the Alentejo region and is best known for its ancient Roman temples. Stroll through the city and discover the whitewashed houses of the town alongside the ancient buildings. We recommend lunch at the Fialho restaurant, where you can sample excellent Portuguese cuisine and exquisite wines. The rest of the day is yours to spend at your leisure.

You can also visit the Quinta Dona Maria winery on a private tour. The winery was founded in the 18th century and is one of the best wineries in Portugal. In the afternoon, we recommend a trip to the small village of Monsaraz, which is particularly impressive for its churches and castle. In the evening, visit an olive oil production facility in the area and learn more about how olive oil is made before enjoying a picnic dinner in the great outdoors. Stay until sunset to gaze at the stars, which are particularly bright in this region.

After two eventful days in Alentejo, you will head north to the famous Douro Valley, home of port wine. Stop in Belmonte, where you can enjoy an exclusive lunch with a wonderful view at the Pousada de Belmonte. The rest of the day is yours to spend at your leisure. Take a walk through the Douro Valley or relax at your accommodation.

During the trip, you will stop for lunch with regional wines before taking an exclusive tour of the Quinta da Pacheca winery. The winery has been producing the famous Portuguese port wine since 1738. At the end of your visit, you will also have the opportunity to take some of the wines home with you.

Today, you will continue on to Portugal's capital, Porto, where your personal guide will be waiting for you. Take a city tour and discover the old town with its colorful houses, the harbor on the banks of the Douro River, and, of course, the city's many charming cafés and restaurants. Take a walk across the river to the village of Nova de Gaia, which is best known for its many wine cellars. Take a break and enjoy some fine port wine in the Portuguese sun.
