Surrounded by glittering conifers in the forest, the spa at Paro Lodge invites you to try a herbal hot stone bath followed by a traditional massage. Facilities also include a glass-walled yoga studio, sauna, and steam room. Embark on an exciting hike to Tiger's Nest, the iconic 7th-century monastery nestled on a mountainside 900 meters above sea level. Or take a guided cultural tour of Paro, visiting the most important museums, institutions, and sights. Bhutan is a land of temples and monasteries, deeply influenced by Buddhist philosophy, which will leave you feeling inspired.

All five Amankora lodges serve Bhutanese, Western, and Indian cuisine, using local ingredients such as yak meat and fresh honey from the Bumthang Valley. Private dinners can be arranged both inside and outside the lodges, whether for a romantic candlelit dinner or a group celebration. The dining room at Paro Lodge has an outdoor terrace where you can dine. A sparkling river flows nearby and the view stretches to the snow-capped Jhomolhari and the ruins of the old dzong.

Details of Amankora Paro Lodge

The Amankora Paro Lodge is not only easily accessible by transport, but also a wonderful oasis of calm. The tastefully furnished lodge has 24 suites, which are characterized by interiors dominated by warm wood tones and soft fabrics. Bukhari is the name of the traditional wood-burning stove that will create a particularly cozy atmosphere in your exclusive accommodation. Enjoy the spectacular view from the floor-to-ceiling panoramic windows – for example, of the nearby Drugyel Dzong monastery fortress, built in the 17th century.
