Decorated in typical Icelandic rustic Scandi chic, the 13 stylish suites offer peaceful retreats for relaxation after adventurous days in nature. Natural materials such as wood, wool, and sheepskins provide a cozy contrast to the rugged Icelandic landscape, which you can admire through large windows or, in some rooms, from airy balconies. Four gallery suites feature a mezzanine level with hammocks and magnificent views of the surrounding mountains and streams; one room has several bunk beds and is perfect for younger guests.

In the dining room at Deplar Farm, floor-to-ceiling windows at one end of the long wooden table frame the dramatic surroundings, while at the other end, a crackling fireplace adds a touch of cosiness to evening meals. Meals follow the farm-to-table philosophy and feature produce from local fishermen and farmers. Freshly caught salmon or char and high-quality organic lamb are paired excellently with wines from the extensive wine cellar. Several bars serve Icelandic schnapps and craft beer, and there is also a band stage with live music in the evenings or lively karaoke parties.

Experience the wilderness of northern Iceland in all its glory: activities change with the seasons, with dog sledding, snowshoeing, and snowmobile tours available in winter, while archery, fly fishing, or day hikes along dramatic cliffs and to thundering waterfalls can be on your agenda in summer. Special highlights include whale watching, exciting heliskiing from March to May, and aurora borealis viewing during the season from October to April. Back at the farm, relax in the geothermally heated pool, treat yourself to a massage at the spa, meditate weightlessly in the flotation tank, or play a round of billiards or darts.
